How To: Transition to Fall

Fall is my favorite season and I am sure that I am not the only one. I really love the clothes for fall. Mostly because you can get away with looking “cozy” all of the time by wearing oversized sweaters.

Transitioning into fall can be a challenge depending on where you live. When I was in Oklahoma, we don’t have much of a transition or even a fall season, really. That nice 65 degree weather would last about a week and then it was the dead of winter.

Here’s an idea for transitioning your summer wardrobe into fall:

Take your summer dresses and pair with some of your fall staples. Like a light jacket. You can pretty much pair any dress with a denim or utility jacket! Then add booties and you are set. If it’s still too hot for booties, swap for a pair of mules. Target has a really cute selection right now that I will link at the bottom. I recently found my new favorite Jeffrey Campbell mules at Uptown Cheapskate for $20!

I paired this outfit with a fun hat from Target! I was surprised by the selection that they had and was pleased with the quality of this hat.
